OUR STORY
Pressing on Toward the Goal Ministries was founded in 2024 by Troy Emley, the founder & minister at PTGM.
Pressing on Toward the Goal exists to cultivate a Christ-centered community within shooting sports, where individuals are empowered to pursue spiritual and personal growth while striving for excellence. Guided by Philippians 3:14, we press on toward the goal of knowing Christ more deeply, living with integrity, and using our passion for shooting sports to reflect God's love and truth. Through fellowship, mentorship, and service, we aim to inspire athletes and families to live out their faith boldly, honor God in every aspect of life, and impact the world with grace and purpose.
Troy was baptized in 1989 and ordained into Christian ministry in 2009. As a Timothy of North Grand Christian Church, Troy currently travels around the Midwest to various shooting sports events trying to partner with shooting sports competitions so no one has to choose between worshipping Sunday mornings & participating in shooting sports.
